Presentation Reflection
I was disappointed that I was unable to present my lesson
plan, even to a pretend audience. As stated in my previous blog, I think it
would have been helpful to be able to view myself and determine what went well
and what did not go well for future lesson plans or presentations for my actual
targeted audience. I hope to be able to
utilize this lesson plan in the future to assist with preventing teenage pregnancy.
Final Reflection
I really enjoyed keeping a blog this semester. This allowed me to share my thoughts and has encouraged
me to dig deeper about a topic that I am passionate about. In order to reduce teenage pregnancy, it all
begins with sexual education. Effective
comprehensive sexuality education programs that are age, gender, and culturally
appropriate should be implemented in schools to not only prevent teenage
pregnancy, but to reduce and prevent sexually transmitted diseases and
abortions in the United States. So many
of my friends in high school became pregnant as a teenager, and I do not
believe that sexual health was addressed as aggressively as it should
have. This is definitely something that
I believe parents would have to jump on board of first. I also believe that parents should be the
ones to have the sex talk with their children first. I hope you all have learned something from my
blog to assist in preventing teenage pregnancy.
I am thankful to be able to share something that I have so much interest
in.
